Install Project 2019 and Microsoft 365 on the same machine
I have Microsoft 365 — Personal x64 version 2109 installed. I also need to install Project 2019 VL x64 which is provided by my company. According to this article, this scenario is supported, but I get this message when the setup runs: «To install this product, first uninstall the following product(s) and try again. Microsoft 365 — en-us». What I’m missing?
- microsoft-office
- office365
- microsoft-project

Try to install the 32-bit version of Project 2019.

I suspect the problem is your attempting to mix Microsoft 365 Personal subscription with a volume license installation of Project 2019. Which is not supported. «For Office 365, Microsoft 365, Office LTSC 2021, and Office 2019 products, all products installed on the computer must be using the same update channel.» — In other words Project 2019 VL is using the PerpetualVL2019 update channel while Office 365 is using the Current channel.
install visio 2016 MVL on PC with O365 apps for enterprise Click 2 Run subscription (Office 16 Click-to-Run Extensibility Component error)
PROBLEM
Setup did not allow the 32bit being installed because 0365AfE was 64bit
So downloaded 64bit version of Visio 2016 and tried that. same error unable to install visio 64 bit version as ther is a 64 version of Office 365 click to run version
Any idea?
Not allowed to mix Subscription and MVL MAK one the same PC?

Hi @Jurgen Verhelst The two main things that determine whether Office and Visio can be installed together on the same computer are the version of the product and the installation technology used to install the product. The Microsoft 365 Apps’ version number is 16.0, and use Click-to-Run installation technology.
The Visio 2016 which uses MAK has the same version number of 16.0, but uses Windows Installer (MSI) technology.
For more detailed information, please refer to «Supported scenarios for installing different versions of Office, Project, and Visio on the same computer».
To intsall them with the same architecture (32 bit or 64 bit) on a same computer, it’s recommended to checkout this article «Use the Office Deployment Tool to install volume licensed versions of Project 2016 and Visio 2016».
Please note, MAK keys that you use for Windows Installer (MSI) installations of Visio won’t work with the Office Deployment Tool.
You need to get a different MAK key from the Volume Licensing Service Center (VLSC) and use the key listed under «C2R-P for use with the Office Deployment Tool«. Hey @Emily Hua-MSFT thanks for the explanation I tried that, O365 C2R is 32 bit so I tried Visio 2016 via OCT and special C2R MAK key In the log it states:

Hi @Jurgen Verhelst
Thanks for your reply.
As the image above shown is pointed out Office Professional Plus 2019 needs to be uninstalled, but in your first post, you said there was Microsoft 365 Apps install on the computer.
Are the Office Professional Plus 2019 volume licensed version or retail version?
If you have the Office Professional Plus 2019 installed first, please remove the update channel element Channel=»Current» from your configuration file (.xml). Please help you run the following command on one computer to check the Office activation information. Thx ~
cscript.exe «%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft Office\Office16\ospp.vbs» /dstatus
(If you are running 32-bit Office on a 64-bit operating system)
cscript.exe «%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft Office\Office16\ospp.vbs» /dstatus
Then please share me with your command result for better analysis.

Hello
I have a Lenovo IdeasPad S340 which has Microsoft Office 365 installed. I wanted to upgrade Office to Microsoft Office 2021 Professional Plus.
I bought a license and downloaded Microsoft Office 2021 Professional Plus and tried to install it It will not install and gives the message.
«We can’t install this product, first uninstall the following product(s) and try again.
Microsoft 365-en-us»
I uninstalled Microsoft Office 365 but still get the same error message. Don’t know what to do next. (I may have got the name slightly wrong as I’ve already uninstalled it.)
Also Is OneDrive part of 365 or does this have to be uninstalled as well.
Any help would be appreciated.
