FlexNet License Finder Error (Opening AutoCAD or F/X CAD)

Upon launching AutoCAD or F/X CAD, you received the following error message: FlexNet License Finder Your application was not able to obtain a license because the FlexNet License Manager could not determine where to find the licensing data it needs. Please choose one of the following: You may have tried to enter your server name or address, but CAD was unable to find a license. You might then have seen a further error message.

Cause

This error can result from several possible issues with your CAD license.

Solution

To resolve the issue, follow our steps to change your CAD license type.

Flexnet License finder dialog box appears when you try to start program

When you start a program installed as a network seat, the FLEXnet License Finder dialog box is displayed. When you enter the name or IP address of your server, the program does not open.

Causes:

• The program is pointing to a server location that does not have a license daemon running, or is unable to correctly connect to the server.
• The program does not have fast enough a connection and is not waiting long enough to get the license.
• Port Blockage

Solution:

To prevent firewall from blocking license request:

You can enter port exceptions in the firewall of the machine running the license manager to ensure the firewall is not blocking the license request.

1. Access your firewall settings and open INBOUND and OUTBOUND TCP ports

1. After the ports are open, retry the connection.

To point to the correct server:

1. Locate the LICPATH.LIC file in your program installation folder.
Usually C:\Program Files\Autodesk\ .

For 2017 and later the location of the LICPATH.LIC file is located in C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS\ _2017.0.0.F2. Open the LICPATH.LIC file using notepad.

2. Edit the LICPATH.LIC file and change the server name to the correct name:SERVER SERVERNAME1 a0c987654321

3. Save the LICPATH.LIC file to the directory

* Windows might not allow you to save to the directory. You might need to save to the desktop and copy the files to the location.

You can check whether your program is pointing to the correct server.

1. On the Start-up menu, right-click the My Computer icon > Properties > Advanced System Settings.
2. On the Advanced tab, click Environment Variables.
3. Under System Variables, click New.
4. In the Variable name field enter:

ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE

1. In the Variable value field enter:

@YOUR_SERVER_IP_ADDRESS

1. Click OK.

To wait a bit longer to retrieve a license.

1. Right-click the My Computer icon.
2. Click the Advanced tab.
3. Click “Environment Variables”.
4. Under the System Variables window, click “New”.
5. In the Variable name field enter FLEXLM_TIMEOUT
6. In the Variable Name field enter 3000000
7. Click “Okay”.

The 3000000 variable is in milliseconds. You can increase this if it is not enough. If you increase this to 5000000 and it is still not working, there is likely another issue.

Bind the license file to a different port

It is possible something is blocking the default port 27000. Change to 27005.

1. Access the license file and open in a text editor
2. Place the cursor an the end of the top row of text, add a space and enter 27005. (You could use anything from 27000-27009). The top of the file should resemble

SERVER SERVERNAME MAC_ADDRESS 27005
USE_SERVER

1. Save the file
2. Stop and restart the services

Я обычно просто еще раз нажимаю на прогу макса и она загружается,можно ли просто игнорить это сообщение и продолжать работу?

Да игнорьте, если запускается. Он сервер лицензий просто потерял. Может временный глюк.

Зато обычно срабатывает железобетонно. Но мы друг друга поняли))

В общем, можно заново переделать, убив перед этим папку Flexnet. Новую создаст. Хотя строго говоря там можно убийством только одного файла обойтись. Adskflex_блаблабла.dat кажется.

А не может от этого глюка синий экран появляться при интерактивном рендеринге с надписью: «Что-то пошло не так»? Там правда все время пишет что-то типа RadeonWat что-то с драйверами.Хотя у меня комп новый и все дрова свежие

Не, синий экран — это вопрос к железу. Ну и к драйверам на железо тоже может быть. С самим максом или его примочками это не связано.

Мне помогло, почти отчаялась, думала всё сносить и переустанавливать

папка «Network License Manager» ( у меня C:\Program Files\Autodesk\Network License Manager)

запускаем приложение «lmtools» и нажимаем на start server

запускаем заново 3д макс и все работает)

Autodesk cannot find License Server – Quick Fix!

It is a common problem when your Autodesk software cannot find the network license service and gives you the FLEXnet License Finder dialog box instead. Usually it is down to either the license services being moved to a different server or for some reason the software was installed incorrectly, either way it can be a bit of a pain to put right.

However, there is a quick fix for this which will enable you to point all your Autodesk software to the new or correct server in one go. It is also the solution for using multiple servers which host multiple license services (distributed servers).

Here is how you can use the environment variable to specify one or more license servers for your Autodesk products (Windows 10):
1. Open the Windows Control Panel
2. Double-click System
3. In the System bar down the left hand side select ‘Advanced system settings’.

4. Click ‘Environment Variables’
5. Under System Variable, click ‘New’

6. In the Variable Name box, enter ADSKFLEX_LICENSE_FILE
7. In the Variable Value box, enter the license server(s) in the following format, the ‘@’ symbol followed directly by the server name:

@server1;@server2;@server3 (where server is the hostname or IP address of your license server). If you wish to specify a custom port of the server, format the value as port@server where port is the custom port number your license server is running on.

8. Click OK to close each dialog box.

Once this has been created, all your software should re-direct to look for the licenses on the server name specified.
