Icepak 4.3.10 IDF import error from Expedition PCB
I was hoping someone could provide some information on IDF import errors to Icepak v4.3.10. We have exported (from Expedition PCB 2005.1) .emn and .emp files —> version 3.0 IDF format.
Now there are no issues or errors with the files during the export process —> out of Expedition PCB. But there is an error during the import process to Icepak.
The error states «Error:list element quotes followed by «» instead of space»
Any insight or help would be appreciated.

Likely to be Expedition not adhering strictly to the IDF standard. I’m sure Icepak support have already manually fixed the IDF. If not, send it to Flomerics support, they’ll be more than happy to fix it I’m sure.

Ciao a tutti,
c’� un software free per convertire un file con estensione emp in dxf? Ho trovato Estratto2000, ma pare non funzionare pi�. Chi sa aiutarmi?

Emp2Dxf di Survey Studio (cerca con il motore di ricerca).
Non l’ho scaricato n� provato perch� utilizzo allo scopo le funzioni di un mio software di Topografia regolarmente acquistato.
In parole povere non saprei se funziona o funziona bene detto programma free.

I have both .brd and .emn file, but i can’t able to open it.
Can you gues help me ?

One is circuit board format and the other probably closed format from Creo. Not very promising.

Yeah, bur not from Creo.
They are PCB files.
But I heard one can open in freecad.
What about .emp files ?

EMN file generally opens in FC without any problem. EMP file should be stored aside the EMN and FC will use it if available when importing the EMN.
Can you eventually attach your EMN/EMP files to have a try ?

Nope. EMN is a standard extension for IDF file representing the PCB.

It depends on which is the generic ‘brd’ format.
Does it come from Eagle? Is it binary or texual format?
For IDF there is a standard idf importer which collects all models and tries to load STEP counterparts.
Or there is an IDF loader wb, which allows to load .emn and .emp files

OK_GEOMAPPA Convertitore da estratto di mappa EMP a DXF

Piccola guida di OK_GEOMAPPA
Alla scoperta della funzionalit� di trasformazione
Da ESTRATTO EMP —> a CAD DXF
Il tasto verde avvia un comando che consente di trasformare un estratto wegis rilasciato dall’ufficio EMP in un file DXF.
Una volta cliccato sul tasto viene visualizzata la finestra gestione risorse di windows (seconda immagine)dove andare a prelevare il file EMP precedentemente scaricato e opportunamente collocato nel PC in una cartella in cui il file � facilmente ritrovabile, per esempio direttamente nel desktop.
Una volta trovato il file EMP sul PC (nel mio caso sono andato a cercarlo nella cartella estratti di pregeo in C:), si seleziona e si apre.
Atteso qualche secondo automaticamente si attiva il programma CAD dell’utente e si apre un quadro con visualizzata l’immagine raster trasparente dell’estratto georeferenziato con evidenziati i contorni delle particelle richieste, i contorni dei fabbricati rappresentati in mappa, i vertici delle particelle, gli identificativi delle particelle.
A questo punto si pu� lavorare direttamente sulla grafica di CAD oppure salvare con nome il fle in DXF o DWG.
