Meridian PowerUser supports integration with 32-bit and 64-bit third-party viewers that are ActiveX controls such as Autodesk Inventor View.
Description
After installing Inventor View 2016 on a 64-bit computer, the viewer works as expected in the 64-bit PowerUser but this error can occur and refer to FWSrv.dll in the 32-bit PowerUser on the same computer. Inventor View 2016 works as expected outside PowerUser .
This is a known problem that was introduced in Inventor View 2015 and is also described with an incomplete solution in Inventor View fails in PowerUser.

What are FwSrv.dll Error Messages?
Dynamic Link Library FwSrv.dll Errors
FwSrv.dll is considered a type of Dynamic Link Library (DLL) file. Dynamic Link Library files, like FwSrv.dll, are essentially a «guide book» that stores information and instructions for executable (EXE) files — like Setup.exe — to follow. These files were created so that multiple programs (eg. AutoCAD) could share the same FwSrv.dll file, saving valuable memory allocation, therefore making your computer run more efficiently.

Your FwSrv.dll file could be missing due to accidental deletion, uninstalled as a shared file of another program (shared with AutoCAD), or deleted by a malware infection. Furthermore, FwSrv.dll file corruption could be caused from a power outage when loading AutoCAD, system crash while loading FwSrv.dll, bad sectors on your storage media (usually your primary hard drive), or quite commonly, a malware infection. How to Fix FwSrv.dll Errors in 3 Steps (Time to complete: ~5-15 minutes)
If you’re encountering one of the error messages above, follow these troubleshooting steps to resolve your FwSrv.dll issue. These troubleshooting steps are listed in the recommended order of execution.
Step 1: Restore your PC back to the latest restore point, «snapshot», or backup image before error occurred.
To begin System Restore (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 10):
- Hit the Windows Start button
- When you see the search box, type «System Restore» and press «ENTER«.
- In the search results, find and click System Restore.
- Please enter the administrator password (if applicable / prompted).
- Follow the steps in the System Restore Wizard to choose a relevant restore point.
- Restore your computer to that backup image.
If the Step 1 fails to resolve the FwSrv.dll error, please proceed to the Step 2 below.
Step 2: If recently installed AutoCAD (or related software), uninstall then try reinstalling AutoCAD software.
You can uninstall AutoCAD software by following these instructions (Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, and 10):
- Hit the Windows Start button
- In the search box, type «Uninstall» and press «ENTER«.
- In the search results, find and click «Add or Remove Programs«
- Find the entry for AutoCAD 2019 and click «Uninstall«
- Follow the prompts for uninstallation.
After the software has been fully uninstalled, restart your PC and reinstall AutoCAD software.
If this Step 2 fails as well, please proceed to the Step 3 below.
Step 3: Perform a Windows Update.
When the first two steps haven’t solved your issue, it might be a good idea to run Windows Update. Many FwSrv.dll error messages that are encountered can be contributed to an outdated Windows Operating System. To run Windows Update, please follow these easy steps:
- Hit the Windows Start button
- In the search box, type «Update» and press «ENTER«.
- In the Windows Update dialog box, click «Check for Updates» (or similar button depending on your Windows version)
- If updates are available for download, click «Install Updates«.
- After the update is completed, restart your PC.

If none of the previous three troubleshooting steps have resolved your issue, you can try a more aggressive approach (Note: Not recommended for amateur PC users) by downloading and replacing your appropriate FwSrv.dll file version. Inventor crashing in module Kernelbase.dll
Inventor is crashing in module KERNELBASE.dll with a dialog box like this:
Or Inventor is periodically locking up or crashing and faulting in module name Kernelbase.dll in the ‘Windows Error Reporting’ or ‘Windows Event Viewer Application logs’.
Causes:
The Microsoft Visual C++ runtime libraries and Inventor installation may be corrupt.
With Vault Client installed and running as an Add-In, the Vault installation may also be causing similar problems in Inventor.
Solution:
Check the Windows System Information ‘Windows Error Reporting’ or ‘Windows Event Viewer Application logs’ section for Kernelbase.dll errors.
In the Windows search box type in ‘System Information’.
- OR use the Windows logo key + R on keyboard to open the ‘Run’ dialog box.
- Type in ‘msinfo32’
- See the Windows Error Reporting section:
Based on the presence of Kernelbase.dll errors in the Windows Error Reporting and Windows Event Viewer uninstall Microsoft C++ and Inventor.
- Remove and reinstall Microsoft C++ runtime libraries:
- Clean uninstall Inventor or all Autodesk software
Go through the ‘Inventor clean uninstall’ or if Vault or other applications show errors in same module uninstall them all with the ‘All Autodesk products clean uninstall’

Вопрос: Что из себя представляет лекарство программы?
Ответ: В основе входящего в сборку лекарства взломанный механизм сетевого лицензирования (NLM) от хак-группы MAGNiTUDE. Ну а автор сборки завернул все это в удобную оболочку, позволяющую применить лекарство в один клик, и слегка дополнил своими «примочками».
Вопрос: Какова совместимость используемого в сборке лекарства с другими программами Autodesk?
Ответ: Что касается линейки 2024, то лекарство совместимо с большинством популярных программ Autodesk, релиз которых уже состоялся на момент выпуска сборки. Что касается совместимости с программами младших линеек, то такая совместимость тоже в наличии. Установка данной программы убьет активацию продуктов линеек 2020-2023. Но данный активатор пролечит их заново! Единственное, если продукты 2020-2021 у вас были активированы кейгеном, формат активации изменится на сетевой. Активация продуктов линеек 2019 и ниже не будет затронута никак.
Вопрос: Раньше паразитные компоненты удалялись из дистрибутива. Сейчас некоторые из них лишь отключены. Почему так?
Ответ: Дело в том, что разработчики Autodesk включили некоторые компоненты в так называемую базовую комплектацию, в ядро пакета. Невозможно отказаться от установки этих компонентов и они не имеют своего анинсталлера. Вот поэтому-то я их вынужден отключать.
Вопрос: Программа не устанавливается. Появляется сообщение об ошибке 400x серии. Что делать?
Ответ: Для начала, ознакомьтесь с расшифровкой кодов ошибок и с краткими рекомендациями по решению проблем установки продуктов Autodesk. Если это не помогло, то тут только выяснять причины проблемы самостоятельно, читая логи установки. У Autodesk есть утилита, грамотно собирающая необходимые логи, разбросанные по разным папкам операционной системы.
